Same-sex marriage kinder to Earth?

Just finished reading “Opposition to gay marriage … etc.,” and in a way I had to kinda chuckle, because of things I’ve heard about regarding that thing called “Marriage.” I am a handicapped World War II veteran, pushing 81, so I’ve seen a lot and heard it in those years.

I’ll never forget the headlines of a big newspaper telling about a male mayor who actually married his little goldfish he kept on his desk in his mayor’s office. Yes, it was official, as his citizens needed a married man for mayor.

Then there was the old cowboy who legally married a fence post because the city was going to destroy it and he needed it to tie his horse to when in town.

Then there was the man who married the moon all legally, and I well remember a woman who married her pet dog so they could not kill it…

The elderly Mongolian religious man 114 years old and direct descendant of Genghis Khan that I met 60 years ago in Japan said that same-sex marriages were a blessing because it kept people from over-populating earth, or soon the food supply for humans would go, and we would all face starvation, due to overpopulation without food…

Man, those were the days…
