We need Matt Williams as our next District Court Judge

We need Matt Williams as our next King County District Court Judge. I have known Matt Williams personally and professionally for more than 20 years. He has earned my personal and professional respect as a member of our community and as an attorney.

We need Matt Williams as our next King County District Court Judge. I have known Matt Williams personally and professionally for more than 20 years. He has earned my personal and professional respect as a member of our community and as an attorney.

Matt Williams is the only candidate in this race to receive the top “Exceptionally Well Qualified” rating from four separate judicial rating organizations, including the King County Bar Association. He is uniquely qualified for this position. During his 27 years of experience as an attorney, Matt has served as a pro tem Judge in King and Pierce Counties and as a prosecutor, a defense attorney, and an arbitrator.

He has trained over 1,000 prosecutors, attorneys, and judges. He has trained police officers at the Washington State Patrol Academy and the Criminal Justice Training Commission. He has served as an adjunct professor of Law at Seattle University, University of Puget Sound, and the University of Washington. He has been selected by the U.S. Department of Justice to lead international training for judges, prosecutors, and attorneys building better court systems. He is endorsed by a broad coalition of judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement and public-safety officials, elected officials, and citizen groups and organizations.

Matt’s broad prosecution, defense, civil, and judicial experience gives him the skills we need on the District Court bench, where he will serve with fairness and compassion. Please join me in electing Matt Williams as our next Judge in King County District Court Position 6.

Capt. Bruce Booker (retired)
