Opposition to gay marriage not based on ignorance

Regarding your “opinion,” (“Gay marriage not hurting anyone,” by Reporter columnist Todd Nuttman.)

You are certainly entitled to your own point of view. Now having said that, your article speaks of those opposed to gay marriage as ignorant. It has nothing to do with ignorance but about right and wrong as a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN Bible believer views it.

I am a retired humanitarian worker, 14 years, who has lived and worked in seven countries with many races, religions and cultures. So please do not assume I am racist and or anti-cultural. I might add there were few in any country I did not leave as friends.

Yes there has been many wrongs to the different cultures and races in this country and far, far more of the same that is still going on in many other countries.

But I write the words that those like you do not want to read and actually do not “hear” and that is: The joining of people of the same sex is a sin, an abomination. Nothing

you can do or anyone else can do will change this. No law, no proclamation, no speech no blotting out the words of God. It has nothing to do with racism, ignorance, color or culture.

Did you get that? Of course not.

Both gay and lesbian can be, as many are, wonderful people adding to the advancement of the culture and the country. Good folks! But that does not mean their lifestyle is correct.

I might add, one of my relatives was a gay man. He and I were the best of friends. He and his partner of 35 years both viewed marriage as between a man and woman. Both thought the move to make marriage also between those of same sex as ridiculous.

Yours was a very hard hearted, antagonistic column. Written out of no love for anyone.

I will not waste my time in the future.
