Money watch needs a closer look

LID (Local Improvement Districts) 363 was started in 1992, possibly even before. Millions of dollars have been collected from residents of Kent to build a road parallel to James Street.

LID (Local Improvement Districts) 363 was started in 1992, possibly even before. Millions of dollars have been collected from residents of Kent to build a road parallel to James Street. As far as I can tell, no road is in progress or has even been started.

No one will give me the answers I’ve requested from the city of Kent or from the state of Washington. Since the city has enough budgetary problems to have them selling off city property, I would like to know where that money is and when the road will be started.

Possibly the media will get a better response.

Seems someone should be watching where our money is going. Soccer fields were sold, a par 3 golf course is up for sale. They tried to sell a Pine Tree Park and fortunately that was discovered and stopped.

I’m asking the Kent Reporter to follow up on LID 363.
