Matt Williams: A cut above the rest for judge

Most voters are completely stumped when it comes to voting for judges. Unless you appear in court every day or have had a personal experience with a judge, you have no idea who to vote for. However, this time, the voters in the Southeast part of King County have a clear choice. Matt Williams is simply a cut above the rest.

Most voters are completely stumped when it comes to voting for judges. Unless you appear in court every day or have had a personal experience with a judge, you have no idea who to vote for.

However, this time, the voters in the Southeast part of King County have a clear choice. Matt Williams is simply a cut above the rest. He is running for an open seat on the King County District Court bench, and most of us who practice in these courts every day believe that Matt will make a significant improvement to the Court.

Matt Williams has broad experience as a prosecutor, assistant attorney general, trial practice professor, arbitrator, pro tem judge, managing attorney for a major Northwest corporation, and frequently trains judges and lawyers all over the world. He is the only candidate in this race who has been rated “Exceptionally Well Qualified” by five different bar groups and “Very Good” by the Municipal League. Matt has a stellar career history, unlike his opponent, who had some real problems when he served as a judge in Federal Way.

I believe we all deserve excellence. I would urge the voters to cast their ballots for Matt Williams.
