Lingerie League a spectacle

We received our Kent Reporter this weekend and I was appalled by the picture on the front page and the headline concerned the Lingerie League debut.

You have got to be kidding! Women playing football in their underwear!

Has Kent and the ShoWare Center stooped so low as to consider this entertainment? As it says in the article, it is a spectacle.

What an insult this is to women and I truly feel sorry for these young women who are being exploited by everyone involved. All this to sell tickets and promote the continued promiscuity of the populace, all in the name of making money.

I can assure you this – our household won’t be spending money on the Seattle Mist or the travesty of this ridiculous sport. I am hoping now that this is out in public other people will come forward who have the scruples and the morals to provide negative feedback.

Unfortunately I realize that there are people in Kent and other areas who consider this a sport and they will buy tickets. I can’t stop them, but I can let my opinion be heard.

I am sad that the immoral mentality of the City of Seattle is starting to work its way into Kent. I truly thought that this (ShoWare) center was a good idea and would bring family entertainment to the Kent area. Unfortunately I was wrong and other are taking this opportunity to bring “junk entertainment” to tarnish this area and the family values of this community.

I wonder what will be next – strippers?!
