What a refreshing change of pace from the “normal” newspaper fare. I so enjoyed Joyce’s current article, “The Saga of a Quilter’s Husband.” Donald is definitely not a retiree that will sit in his chair watching TV until he croaks. God bless the Beckers!
My mom learned to quilt in her latter years and started making quilts when she was 70. She stopped on her 80th birthday only after making a special quilt for every member of our family. Then she decided to teach me how to crochet – I was 50. I never did pick up the quilting craft. Not yet anyway.
Thank you for including this positive and humorous article in the Kent Reporter. It made me smile this morning.
