I am truly saddened by the vote of the City Council to ban fireworks in Kent.
I feel that even with the 60 percent vote to ban from the public the council could have considered those who could not vote but whom are most affected by the ban – the children.
Did the council forget they were children once? It seems so.
Those who voted for the ban are most likely old fogies over 50 and just forgot what it was like to sacrifice a day or two for the sake of the young. No wonder young people find trouble to replace fun.
