I drive I-405 to work daily. I use the surface streets through Renton and onto Kent’s East Hill. It seems people feel they have the right to run red lights, pass on the right and drive as fast as they can, just to get where they are going a minute faster.
I see single drivers running up the carpool lane as I wait for my turn to get on the freeway.
Why do so many feel that the rules don’t apply to them?
I have two kids getting ready to learn to drive, and I am very nervous for them, and the now acceptable, cutthroat driving style out there.
Slow down out there, people. It might be your new driver trying to do their best.
