Community shows heart, support in our work

Thank you, Kent Reporter readers, for voting KentHOPE Best Non-Profit in Kent.

KentHOPE is a unique program in Kent: a day center and monthly rotating emergency overnight shelter, serving women and children. In the 4½ years we have been open, we have transitioned more than 450 women and children out of homelessness and helped find employment for more than 200 women.

Truly KentHOPE is a gateway to miracles for women and children in our community who are experiencing homelessness.

We could not have this amazing success without our partner, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, our more than 30 supporting churches, local service organizations and the more than 350 registered volunteers who provide meals, drive the KentHOPE van, participate in our search and rescue program and donate funds and needed supplies.

If you are interested in helping homeless women and children in South King County through KentHOPE, please check out our website, kenthope.org.

We are so grateful for the caring community of Kent.

– Pat Gray, for the KentHOPE executive board and staff
