Clark has a record of getting things done

This mayoral election goes beyond choosing which candidate has the most impressive attendance record at community service events or the most contacts.

This mayoral election goes beyond choosing which candidate has the most impressive attendance record at community service events or the most contacts.

In fact, both mayoral candidates have served Kent for a long time and both have declared support for all of us. Both candidates are delightful. I would welcome either of them as my neighbor.

However, the distinction between the candidates is that Mayor Suzette Cooke is stronger at verbally expressing her desire to involve neighbors and businesses in making decisions, and Tim Clark is better at developing partnerships and collaborative efforts to accomplish goals and improvements.

Kent’s road maintenance, public safety staffing numbers and bond rating have all slipped in recent years. We could have done better. While on City Council, Clark did work collaboratively to get things done – he was the deciding vote for Kent Station to move forward and was instrumental in the implementation of an award-winning program that has restored Green River salmon.

Vote for proven leadership. Vote for Tim Clark for mayor.
