To Sen. Claudia Kauffman and Reps. Geoff Simpson and Pat Sullivan,
In the last legislative session you voted for SB 5508, which takes away from the citizens of Washington State the right to vote on annexation.
I thought you were our voices in Olympia, but obviously not. Taking away our right to vote I do not consider acting responsibly on our behalf.
If our challenge (Referendum 72) is not successful and SB 5508 becomes law, what will be the next “right” you plan to take away from us? I would like you to respond to my questions, which are: 1) Why did you vote for this legislation? and 2) In what way will citizens benefit by having their rights taken away from them?
