In Jeremy’s fourth season with the Thunderbirds, he played a total of 62 regular season games, scoring three goals, registering 10 assists for a point total of 13. Jeremy finished with a plus minus rating of minus-5 and spent a total of 32 minutes in the penalty box. Jeremy played in all five playoff games scoring two points on a goal and an assist and had four penalty minutes.

Triplett wants King County out of animal shelter business; promises short-term funding

King County Executive Kurt Triplett announced Thursday his intent to provide six months of funding in 2010 to help the county begin transitioning out of animal care and sheltering services. He also said Thursday that he had assigned staff to work with stakeholders to develop a new model for regional animal services that is humane and financially sustainable.

State budget cuts spawned Kent strike

My two daughters attended Crestwood Elementary, Mattson Junior High, Kentwood High School, and graduated from Western Washington University and the University of Washington. Our older daughter teaches math at Auburn High School and my wife, Sandy, has both taught and subbed at Auburn. I also taught math for three years at the Air Force Academy Prep School, before I came to Boeing, where I am a 747 and 777 instructor pilot.

With restrictions on the water-pool level behind the Howard Hanson Dam, Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke, Chair of the King County Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee, took a proactive step to reduce potential flooding this winter in the Green River Valley. “Our first line of defense should be to fight the flood at the levee – not in the Valley,” Cooke declared. “It is much less costly to prevent flooding in the first place, than to suffer the financial and emotional expense of cleaning up after a flood.”
