Woman fatally shot at Tukwila Costco parking lot

Friday morning, Jan. 26; male suspect flees in vehicle

A woman was fatally shot at about 10:41 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 in the parking lot of the Tukwila Costco, 400 Costco Drive, just north of Kent.

Officers arrived and administered lifesaving measures, but the woman died at the scene while being treated by medical personnel, according to Tukwila Police.

After the shooting, a male suspect fled in a white vehicle in an unknown direction on Andover Park East.

Southcenter Mall homicide

The fatal shooting comes just 11 days after someone fatally stabbed a taxi driver in the Westfield Southcenter Mall parking lot in Tukwila.

Nike Hokema, 34, was killed and his red 2012 RediCab Toyota Camry stolen, according to Tukwila Police. Police are trying to find the killer and the vehicle. The incident occurred at about 4 a.m. Jan. 15.

Police received reports of the vehicle spotted Jan. 19 near Redmond and possibly later that afternoon in Federal Way.
