Medical examiner identifies woman shot at Tukwila Costco parking lot

67-year-old died of gunshot wound of chest; police release no further details

A woman fatally shot Jan. 26 at the Tukwila Costco parking lot has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Yuam Ming, 67, died of a gunshot wound of chest, according to the medical examiner report released Jan. 29 which ruled the death a homicide.

A woman was fatally shot at about 10:41 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 in the parking lot of the Tukwila Costco, 400 Costco Drive, according to Tukwila Police. Tukwila Costo is just north of Kent.

Officers arrived and administered lifesaving measures, but the woman died at the scene while being treated by medical personnel, according to Tukwila Police.

After the shooting, a male suspect fled in a white vehicle in an unknown direction on Andover Park East.

As of Monday, Jan. 29, Tukwila Police had not released any further information.

“We will provide updates as we are able to,” according to a Tukwila Police Jan. 28 Facebook post. These are complex investigations that can take time to properly complete. There is a reason we do or don’t share information and when. While we understand the frustration at the perceived lack of information at times, we owe it to the victims to allow our experienced detectives to properly investigate these types of crimes and in a manner that maintains the integrity of their investigations.”
