Two people were injured when their vehicle went down an embankment Thursday morning, April 13 and crashed into an apartment building.

The crash occurred at about 9:12 a.m. at the Madison on the River Apartments, 8711 S. 259th St., according to Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak. The complex is southeast of downtown Kent.

The two people were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, according to Puget Sound Fire. No residents were injured.

Firefighters used specialized jacks to stabilize the vehicle, according to Puget Sound Fire. The car caused moderate damage to the apartment building. A Kent building inspector evaluated the damage to the building.
