SmileMobile dental clinic to be at Kent Elementary School Jan. 23-26

Free and low-cost dental care provided for those who cannot afford exams, treatment

The Seattle-based Arcora Foundation SmileMobile, a brightly painted 39-foot dental clinic on wheels, will be in Kent from Jan. 23-26 at Kent Elementary School, 24700 64th Ave. S.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed for lunch noon to 1 p.m.) Tuesday, Jan. 23, through Thursday, Jan. 25, and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 26.

SmileMobile dentist and dental team will see babies (first tooth), children, youth, pregnant/postpartum people and adults with Apple Health and those who are uninsured, according to a media release from The Arcora Foundation SmileMobile.

SmileMobile provides free and low-cost dental care to underserved communities.

The dentist and team will provide an exam and oral health education. Depending on the patient needs they may also provide one or more of the following: fluoride varnish, sealants, simple extraction, filling, emergent care and written referral.

The SmileMobile is operated by nonprofit Arcora Foundation in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. Arcora Foundation is funded by nonprofit Delta Dental of Washington, the state’s largest dental benefits company.

The SmileMobile, travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, has examined and treated almost 50,000 patients in communities throughout Washington.
