GIRLS SOCCER: Kentridge finding its groove

Things are finally coming together for the Kentridge High girls soccer team. After a slow start to the season, the Chargers got on track last week thanks to a huge offensive performance by Katie Clayton. Clayton scored one goal, and assisted on four others on Sept. 23, lifting the Chargers past Mount Rainier 6-2 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.

Watch lingerie football Oct. 8 in Kent

Catch the second and only other women's Lingerie Football League regular-season home game of the Seattle Mist at 9 p.m. Oct. 8 at the ShoWare Center in Kent. The Mist play the Chicago Bliss in the league that features scantily clad women playing seven-on-seven tackle football on a 50-yard field.

Kent Police seek public’s help to identify man accused of luring girls

Kent Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man who reportedly tried to lure girls to his car. The incident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. Sept. 27 when two groups of girls were walking in the area of 120th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 236th Street, just east of Meridian Middle School, according to an Oct. 1 Kent Police media release.

Two men in their 30s were critically injured by multiple gunshots at about 8:13 p.m. Thursday at the Country Squire Apartments, 10835 S.E. 200th St., in the Panther Lake area of Kent.

A regional law enforcement rally against domestic violence is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent. Videos from two robberies helped Seattle Police track down a man in the King County jail who allegedly robbed a Kent 7-Eleven store on Sept. 12 and a Seattle bank Sept. 14. The 37-year-old Seattle man had been taken into custody for an unrelated charge several days after the robberies, according to a Kent Police media release.
