Margaret Eims
Margaret (Suzy) (Maggie) Karpen Eims passed into her next life as she slept on September 17, 2010. She was born on March 10, 1948 to Warren and Margaret Karpen. She graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 1966. She lived in Des Moines, Washington for 39 years. Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands George Eims and Dewey Carter and stepdaughter Lisa Eims. She is survived by her stepsons George and Fred Eims, granddaughter, Arial Eims, beloved brothers and their wives, John (Betty), Allan (Susan), and David Karpen, nephews Ian Karpen, Robert French, David French and Mark Hewitt, and devoted nieces Lori Karpen Gallegos, Toni Lemenager, Cori Warren, Roxanne Karpen, April Karpen, Brandy Harding and Jesse Karpen, 7 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews. A celebration of Suzy’s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 22975 24th Ave. S. Des Moines, WA 98198 on Friday, October 8 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to: Grace Lutheran Church, Henry G. Kaplan Research Fund, American Lung Association of Washington or Mary Kay Charitable Fund.
