The incident reportedly involved substance use, with law enforcement arresting the 38-year-old man for investigation of driving under the influence.<\/p>\n<p>According to the State Patrol, the 38-year-old struck the 68-year-old woman&rsquo;s vehicle head-on as he traveled northbound &mdash; and as she traveled southbound &mdash; in the southbound lanes of I-405, north of State Route 900 in lane one of three.<\/p>\n<p>According to the State Patrol, the 40-year-old Leavenworth man swerved into the second lane to avoid the collision. The 38-year-old&rsquo;s vehicle bounced from the impact of the initial collision into the 40-year-old&rsquo;s vehicle, striking him.<\/p>\n<p>The 38-year-old and 68-year-old&rsquo;s vehicles arrived at a stop in lane one of three, and the 40-year-old&rsquo;s vehicle in the third lane and left shoulder.
