{"id":68130,"date":"2024-02-15T14:25:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-15T22:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/port-townsend-man-injured-in-i-5-hit-and-run-crash-near-kent\/"},"modified":"2024-02-15T14:25:00","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T22:25:00","slug":"port-townsend-man-injured-in-i-5-hit-and-run-crash-near-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/port-townsend-man-injured-in-i-5-hit-and-run-crash-near-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"Port Townsend man injured in I-5 hit-and-run crash near Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Port Townsend man was injured in a hit-and-run vehicle collision Thursday morning, Feb. 15 along Interstate 5 in SeaTac, just north of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred along southbound I-5 at about 6:22 a.m., just north of South 200th Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>A vehicle was traveling southbound in lane one when it collided with a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder, according to the State Patrol. The first vehicle drifted from lane one to the right shoulder. Both vehicles came to rest in a ditch.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the first vehicle, a 2016 BMW X3, fled on foot. Paramedics transported the 28-year-old man in the second vehicle, a 2001 Honda Civic, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
