August 1, 1977 – November 25, 2023

Mikey always surprised us from the beginning, including when he entered the world with his twin sister, Michelle. His whole life, Mikey seeked every big and beautiful adventure since he was never afraid of trying new experiences if it meant creating fun. He was always satisfied with life and lived to enjoy the moment. Mikey was a natural leader at connecting new and old friends by making everyone feel welcome. He was always eager to learn new things, once he was determined on what he wanted he worked to perfect it. He was effortless at being himself and making others laugh, smile, and enjoy each other with his jokes and attentiveness. He was good at everything he did. He was competitive with everything, but in the most humble way. He was always a team player on every sport team, creating art through all mediums including dancing, drawing and ceramics, but especially spent his time making the most meaningful relationships with family and friends.

At the age of 14, Mikey first discovered his passion for riding motorcycles. He created a community of over 75 motor cycle riders through Open Throttle Motorcycle Club with his best friends. He loved racing not because of winning, but for the people he was connected to. He later joined interior design companies where he got to travel and see the world. Mikey’s accomplishments were vast outside of school and jobs, he always excelled at relationships and positivity.

At 21, Mikey came out as a gay man where he taught all of us to love authentically for who you are no matter your race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. He helped to guide others who were LGBTQIA+ to create an inclusive and loving community, which speaks to his kind heart.

Any and everyday Mikey surrounded himself with people to love outwardly and told us to always hold good people close just as he practiced. In 2021, Mikey took his biggest adventure of a lifetime when he met Justin and took a chance on his long distance partner where he become his truest and happiest self when they were together.

Mikey was born on August 1, 1977 in Pomona, California and passed of a sudden heart attack on November 25, 2023 in Kent, Washington.
