{"id":66285,"date":"2023-11-22T14:40:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T22:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/rainier-youth-choirs-presents-holiday-concert-dec-3-in-kent\/"},"modified":"2023-11-22T14:59:32","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T22:59:32","slug":"rainier-youth-choirs-presents-holiday-concert-dec-3-in-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/rainier-youth-choirs-presents-holiday-concert-dec-3-in-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"Rainier Youth Choirs to present holiday concert Dec. 3 in Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rainier Youth Choirs will present &ldquo;Sing for Peace,&rdquo; a celebration of the holiday season, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE, in Kent.<\/p>\n<p>Four age-level choirs will sing new and familiar festive songs to ring in the holiday season during the free concert.<\/p>\n<p>Selections include a traditional Spanish carol, &ldquo;A La Nanita Nana,&rdquo; &ldquo;The Dinner Bell Carol,&rdquo; a popular South African tune &ldquo;Tshotsholoza,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Stand in the Light.&rdquo; Sing-alongs include &ldquo;Jingle Bells&rdquo; and &ldquo;We Wish You a Merry Christmas.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The concert concludes with all voices on stage performing &ldquo;Sing for Peace&rdquo; by Papoulis and Nunez. This uplifting and inspiring concert is sure to brighten a winter day and showcase outstanding young musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Attending the concert is free, however, donations are accepted at the door or can be made by visiting the website: <a href=\"https:\/\/rainieryouthchoirs.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"link\" rel=\"noopener\">rainieryouthchoirs.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rainier Youth Choirs is a Kent-based community youth choir serving singers in second through 12th grade. Rehearsals are held throughout the school year.
