Get ready for a spooktacular event that will light up the streets of Historic Downtown Kent and bring joy to ghouls and goblins of all ages. <\/p>\n
The highly anticipated Street of Treats event is back, offering a safe and festive Halloween experience, according to a Kent Downtown Partnership media release.<\/p>\n
From 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, Historic Downtown Kent will transform into a Halloween wonderland, welcoming families from near and far to participate in this annual tradition. Hosted by the Kent Downtown Partnership, its sponsors and in collaboration with local businesses, Street of Treats promises a day filled with laughter, excitement and plenty of treats.<\/p>\n
Children are encouraged to come dressed in their most creative costumes, from classic witches and vampires to superheroes and mythical creatures. The event will kick off at Kherson Park, 307 W. Gowe St., where attendees will receive a special trick-or-treat map highlighting the participating shops and their spooky offerings. There will also be a balloon artist and face painting for the kiddos.<\/p>\n
“The Street of Treats event is a cherished community occasion that brings families, local businesses and the Halloween spirit together,” said Gaila Haas, executive director of the Kent Downtown Partnership. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids to have a blast in a safe environment and for our downtown businesses to showcase their creativity and generosity.”<\/p>\n
It’s a free event and all are welcome to join in the Halloween festivities. Parents are advised to accompany their little ones throughout the adventure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.<\/p>\n
