The popular Kent Cornucopia Days festival celebrates its 50th year from Friday, July 14 through Sunday, July 16.<\/p>\n

The free event features a street fair on downtown streets with more than 200 vendors and 30 food booths and a food court. Vendors from across the region sell everything from handmade jewelry and yard art to homemade sauces and 12th-man themed accessories.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people attend the annual event.<\/p>\n

The festival and street fair goes from noon to 8 p.m Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Amazon returns as the presenting sponsor.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Kent Lions, the 2023 theme is Come Celebrate Our 50th Year. Commemorative pins will be available to purchase at the Information Booth at Second Avenue and West Meeker Street.<\/p>\n

Featured events include the dragon boat races from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Lake Meridian with nearly 30 boats from Washington, Oregon, California and Canada.<\/p>\n

Maple Valley Street Rats will put on a car show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sixth Avenue and Meeker Street.<\/p>\n

The Cornucopia 5K Run and Walk is 9 a.m. Saturday at Three Friends Fishing Hole along the Green River. Day-of-race registration is at 7:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

The Grand Parade is at 1 p.m Sunday along Fourth Avenue between Saar Street and Ramsay Way.<\/p>\n
