{"id":62099,"date":"2023-03-08T13:04:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T21:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/home2\/man-shot-injured-at-fred-meyer-parking-lot-in-renton\/"},"modified":"2023-03-08T13:04:00","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T21:04:00","slug":"man-shot-injured-at-fred-meyer-parking-lot-in-renton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/northwest\/man-shot-injured-at-fred-meyer-parking-lot-in-renton\/","title":{"rendered":"Man shot, injured at Fred Meyer parking lot in Renton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man is in critical condition after a shooting near the Fred Meyer in Renton on Tuesday night, March 7.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were dispatched to the area of the Fred Meyer, 17801 108th Ave. SE, after a nearby gas station employee reported several gunshot sounds in the area just before 11 p.m., said Renton Police Department spokesperson Cyndie Morris in a Wednesday, March 8 phone interview.<\/p>\n<p>Morris said officers searched the area in the south end of the Fred Meyer parking lot where they found a vehicle with a shattered driver&rsquo;s side window and bullet holes on the side of the car. <\/p>\n<p>Officers found a driver inside the vehicle who had a gunshot wound to the head and was unresponsive. He was transported to a nearby hospital. Morris said the man, who is in his late 30s, is breathing but in &ldquo;critical condition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Police later tacked down witnesses who left the scene, but Morris said they were of little help to the investigators.
