First Avenue South will be closed to vehicles to create a pedestrian-oriented marketplace.

“This summer is going to be full of fun activity in downtown Kent,” said Gaila Haas, KDP executive director. “This is our first Friday night market and we’re excited! There will be over 30 artists and vendors, plus our fantastic shops and restaurants. The night market, along with the Saturday markets, are sure to offer a bit of something for everyone.”

The marketplace will come alive welcoming friends and neighbors to join in celebrating and cultivating vitality in charming historic downtown Kent. Downtown restaurants and bars will offer both indoor and outdoor dining and retail shops, artists and vendors will use sidewalks and the adjacent street for a dynamic marketplace.

Parking is available at the corner of West Titus Street and First Avenue South. Parking is free and without time limits during this event.

Sponsors and partners of the event include the city of Kent, 4Culture, Edward Jones, Republic Services, I Love Kent, Tents and Party Rents and downtown Kent’s merchants. For more information visit downtownkentwa.com or email info@kentdowntown.org
