Lowell R Henderson passed away<\/p>\n

peacefully on September 21, 2020<\/p>\n

following a brief illness and 98 years<\/p>\n

of wear and tear on his earthly suitof-<\/p>\n

clothes.<\/p>\n

Lowell was born in Roseau County<\/p>\n

Minnesota on September 12th 1922,<\/p>\n

the youngest son of Peter Meier<\/p>\n

Stenberg-Henderson and Isabelle<\/p>\n

Sarah Knutson. He grew up in St<\/p>\n

omas ND, his family later moving<\/p>\n

to Centralia Washington and his<\/p>\n

beloved Camano Island. He was proud to have served in the<\/p>\n

Civilian Conservation Corps at Camp Glacier on Mt Baker in<\/p>\n

1937. Memories of his CCC service are included in Michael<\/p>\n

Impero’s book, ‘Camp Glacier F-12; A History of CCC Camp<\/p>\n

Glacier From 1933-1941’.<\/p>\n

He married Edna Lucille Eintrikin-Egelkrout on October 21st,<\/p>\n

1952 in Kent where he helped raise her children, John Warren<\/p>\n

and Janis May Egelkrout.<\/p>\n

Preceding him in death were his wife, parents and brothers; Earl<\/p>\n

Vernon, Leroy Jerome, Arthur Phillip, Lyle Byron, Lloyd George,<\/p>\n

Donald James and his sister, Gretchen Louise Harshman.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his Step-Son’s daughter Kristie Weiss and<\/p>\n

Step-Daughter’s children Kathie Marquardt, Shannon Johnson,<\/p>\n

Deanna Gleb, Marne Cabrera and Bobby Meadows and 14 Great<\/p>\n

Grand-children.<\/p>\n

Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu<\/p>\n

of owers, donations may be made to Vine Maple Place<\/p>\n
