Lea was born November 23, 1948, in Burbank, California and passed away peacefully at home November 13, 2018 in Enumclaw with her husband of twenty seven years, Emerson and friends by her side. She fought an eighteen month battle with cancer the way she lived her life, with strength, courage, grace and dignity.

Lea grew up in California, graduating from Van Nuys High School and UCLA. She was preceded in death by her parents. She moved to Washington in 1980 and was employed by the City of Kent for thirty eight years, the majority of those years as the Kent Senior Activity Center Manager. Senior programs and services flourished under her leadership. She loved her work and it showed in everything she did.

She had a passion for all animals but especially loved breeding and showing dogs. She worked hard to achieve champion status with all her dogs and delighted in bringing home ribbons and awards. She traveled the world extensively, including South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Her love of travel was reflected in her passion for photography. She had a wonderful eye for just the right photograph.

She always supported her husband’s activities as he supported hers. She was an amazing person with a beautiful smile and will truly be missed by many.
