Rose Ann (Schlichter) King died peacefully with her family by her October 26, 2018 in Puyallap, WA at the age of 80.<\/p>\n

Rose Ann is survived by her children, Robert Lee King Jr. his wife Sara and step-daughter Shanthal, of Kent and Steven King his wife Wendy and their sons Josh and Jake King of Yakima, WA, and is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee King Sr., father William Lawrence Schlichter, mother Marjorie (Porter) Schlichter, sister Sonya Davis and brother William Lawrence Schlichter Jr.<\/p>\n

Rose Ann was born on October 18, 1938 in Burlington, KS. She graduated from Wichita-East High School in 1956. Rose Ann married Robert Lee King on November 30, 1957. They made their home in Kent raising their sons Robert and Steven. Rose Ann was a valued Kent PTA member, School Board advocate and volunteered as a school nurse at Sequoia Jr. High. Bob and Rose Ann were married for 41 years.<\/p>\n

She was generous, compassionate and fiercely loyal. She cherished family above all else. Watching her grandsons playing football and baseball was one of the highlights of her later years.<\/p>\n

A funeral is scheduled for November 10th, 1:00 P.M. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to SOZO Sports of Central Washington, Youth Football Park.
