He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Carmen Vermillion (Scott) and Curt Staples; grandchildren, Nichole Vermillion, Heidi Schultz, Marylin Brown, Janae Bosshart, Kaley Webb, and Derik Sterling; great grandchildren, Logan Walker and Grace and Gavin Schultz; and brothers, Dick Staples and Bill Staples. He was predeceased by his grandsons, Billy Webb and Jon Sterling, daughter, Carol Sterling; parents, John Henry and Bessie Staples; and sister, Lula Mae Gerber.<\/p>\n<p>Bob was a kind, gentle man of high integrity; he will be greatly missed. Service will be held at Edline &#038; Yahn Funeral Chapel in Covington at 2:00 on June 2, 2018.
