{"id":29632,"date":"2017-07-28T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T17:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/letters\/ralph-will-get-the-job-done-as-mayor\/"},"modified":"2017-07-28T10:30:00","modified_gmt":"2017-07-28T17:30:00","slug":"ralph-will-get-the-job-done-as-mayor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/letters\/ralph-will-get-the-job-done-as-mayor\/","title":{"rendered":"Ralph will get the job done as mayor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dana Ralph received endorsements from the Kent Police, the Kent Fire Department (now Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority) and the Kent teachers union.<\/p>\n<p>The police required her to be interviewed by a panel, the fire department reviewed a questionnaire she submitted and the teachers&rsquo; union required both a questionnaire and an interview from her.<\/p>\n<p>All three chose the best candidate to endorse.<\/p>\n<p>Dana will plan for a fiscally sound future for Kent, for residents and business owners. She voted against selling the par 3 golf course and had a proposal to keep it as open space. Council members and the mayor did not support an extension to review this plan and now, with the 500 units of multi-family housing being built, the city of Kent needs to implement $3 million to upgrade drainage in the basin. The developer is not paying into this.<\/p>\n<p>Sound fiscal planning? No.<\/p>\n<p>Dana promotes teamwork, wise economic development and is committed to the job.<\/p>\n<p>Look at the attendance records of council members. Dana shows up to get the job done.
