Floyd A. Shafer, age 68, died Monday,January 19, 2009 in Pacific, WA. Floyd was born on April 5, 1940 in Seattle; the son of Leo M. Shafer and Helen R. Davis.Floyd served in both the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Air Force Decorations\/Medals include: Expert (Rifle), Marksman (Carbine), Good Conduct Metal, and Purple Heart. After serving his country, Floyd worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.Floyd is survived by his three brothers, Thoren, John and Vance; by his two sons, James and Brian;by his daughter Carol and daughter-in-law, Leah; by his seven grand-children, DeShion, Allen, Alicia, Danielle, Randall, Brian and Drako and by his great-grandchild Ariana.
