Barbara Jean Irons Williams<\/p>\n

Barbara passed away on May 8, 2009, after a seven year battle with colon cancer. She was born in Seattle on May 30, 1934. Barbara graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1952. She married Dean E. Williams in 1953 and they had 4 children together. Barbara was a cake decorator and had worked at Safeway, The Cake Box, and Costco. She retired in 1999.Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Dean in 1965 and her parents, Clifton (1978) & Julia (1991) Irons.She is survived by her twin sister Betty Acheson of Kent, her brother Lee Irons of Black Diamond, and her sister-in-law Dolores Hancock of Kent. Barbara also leaves behind her children Debra (Jim) Freeman of Lawton, OK, Lora (Jose) Buitrago of Kent, Rick (Sue) Williams of Kent, Jeff (Ginny) Williams of Auburn and her wonderful caregiver and special friend Nancy (Dave) Dildine of Puyallup. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.A private family burial was held earlier. A memorial for Barbara will be held on her birthday, Saturday, May 30, at Kent Nazarene Church at 11:00AM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
