John Carlson is right. As he stated in Saturday’s column, Sarah Palin is “…a successful, attractive woman with working-class roots, a career and a family. She’s also pro-life, up front about her faith, and calls herself a conservative…” And with all those things going for her, Ms. Palin is still not qualified to be the vice president of the United States.

Contrary to what John Carlson would have us believe, it is not only “liberals (most of them women)” who disapprove of Sarah Palin. This past week alone, George Will, David Brooks and Jack Cafferty spoke out against her readiness to be vice president of the U.S.

On Friday, Kathleen Parker, writing on “National Review Online” even called for Palin to step down for the good of the Republican Party and the country.

Judging from the conservative outcry, it looks like a whole lot more folks than the “brazen hypocritical liberals (most of them woman),” Carlson references in his column are assessing Sarah Palin not qualified to be the vice president of the United States.

Particularly, not now when the economy is on the verge of collapse, the U.S. is fighting two wars, plus an ever-present war on terror, jobs are disappearing by the thousands and a recession looms.

John Carlson’s seal of approval for Sarah Palin surprises me. I never saw him as a sucker for a pretty face.
