Kent features jazz, art<\/b><\/p>\n
Jazz musicians and local artists will present their work at An Evening of Jazz and Art at 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 26 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, located at 600 E. Smith St. in Kent.<\/p>\n
The event includes a jazz concert with Michael Powers, Greta Matassa and Richard Dean; an art show featuring local artists; and dinner and dessert. Admission is free, but tickets are required for food.<\/p>\n

July 4 events in Kent<\/b><\/p>\n
Kent\u2019s annual Fourth of July Splash will take place noon to 11 p.m. July 4 at Lake Meridian Park, located at 14800 S.E. 272nd St.<\/p>\n
The event features live entertainment, games, athletic contests, classic car display, boat parade and fireworks. Admission is free.<\/p>\n

Fireworks Over Des Moines, the city\u2019s Fourth of July event, will take place 7 p.m. on the holiday at the Des Moines Marina, located at 22307 Dock Ave. S.
