Green Garden Food Products, Inc., a leading Northwest salad dressings and sauce manufacturer based in Kent, on Monday announced a new partnership with another Kent-based firm: foodservice broker Encore Sales and Marketing. The new partnership brings together two local companies to broaden Green Garden’s product distribution, generate brand exposure and increase sales momentum.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work closely with the experienced team at Encore to expand the reach and depth of our salad dressings and sauces into the foodservice market,” said Mark Hockman, president and chairman of Green Garden Food Products, Inc. “Foodservice is a growth area for our product lines and this partnership is a positive step to enhance product awareness, showcase our custom manufacturing capabilities and ultimately drive sales.”

Since its start in 1932, when Henry Morin and his wife Ann made their first salad dressings by hand in a small Seattle home, Green Garden Food Products, Inc. has been manufacturing salad dressings and sauces. Beyond the company’s Green Garden-branded products, its food science and manufacturing experience includes working with large-volume customers on product development, creating custom formulas and flexible packaging options.

“Adding salad dressings and sauces from Green Garden Foods is a natural fit with the strong line-up of branded products we already represent,” said Steve Milligan, partner and director of chain sales for Encore Sales and Marketing. “We are especially excited about the company’s ability to create special formulas and private label items for larger restaurant accounts and feel this partnership gives us both the opportunity to grow our businesses.”

Encore Sales and Marketing works with the industry’s largest food distributors, including as Sysco, Food Services of America and U.S. Food Service, and also represents some of the top branded products in the dry goods, meat/seafood and refrigerated/frozen food categories, including Birds Eye Foods, French’s Foodservice, Kettle Foods, Tree Top, Inc., Ivar’s Seafood Soup & Sauces, Norbest, Inc., Trident Seafoods Corp. and Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc.
