For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Seattle Thunderbirds center Mathew Barzal, left wing Ryan Gropp, coach Steve Konowalchuk and mascot Cool Bird take part in a ceremonial first pitch prior to the Seattle Mariners-Baltimore Orioles game at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Safeco Field.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Mariners are honoring the T-Birds and their fans for having five players selected in the NHL Draft late June.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The New York Islanders selected Barzal with the 16th overall pick. The New York Rangers chose Gropp in the second round, 41st overall, and the Columbus Blue Jackets took Keegan Kolesar in the third round, 69th overall.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Edmonton Oilers picked up Ethan Bear in the fifth round, 124th overall, and Gustav Olhaver, the T-Birds’ first-round selection in the 2015 Import Draft, went to the Colorado Avalanche in the seventh round, 191st overall.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Ticket special<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n T-Bird fans can purchase $48 main level tickets for $27, using the promo code “TBIRDS” for the game. The promo code is not case sensitive.
