Senior safety event is Sept. 24<\/b><\/p>\n
Senior safety will take center stage Sept. 24, with the Safe Steps Fall Prevention Event at the Kent Senior Activity Center. The event runs 9:30-11:30 a.m., and includes vendors, handouts, demonstrations and refreshments. The goal is to instruct seniors in ways to stay healthy, and to reduce their risk of falling. Kent4Health, a grassroots health initiative for the citizens of Kent, has scheduled a community meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 25.
