PTA’s throughout the state nominated their school principal to be entered in a drawing to be a “human hamster” at halftime of the Seattle Sounders game against the New York Red Bulls today at Century Link Field.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Out of more than 100 entries, Park Orchard Elementary Principal Eric Richards and another principal were selected to go head-to-head in giant inflatable clear plastic spheres on the soccer field during the halftime show of today’s 6 p.m. game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
For participating, both schools received 50 tickets so selected students and parents will be able to go onto the field to cheer their principals during this event. Principals can earn $2,000 for their school for first place and $1,000 for second place, and a possible player appearanceat the school.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
PEMCO Insurance and the Sounders sponsored the competition organized by the Washington State PTA.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
