Kent East Hill Revitalization (KEHR) invites the public to its inaugural community social from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Benson Plaza Shopping Center, 23617 104th Ave. SE, Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

KEHR (pronounced CARE) presents a celebration of the residents, businesses and community on the East Hill.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The KEHR project is an effort to engage the community and develop a plan that is driven by residents, businesses and community members. The effort will be inclusive and encourage participation from East Hill’s diverse community. The group’s goal is to create a vibrant and livable community that has a distinct sense of place and gives all residents a reason to be proud of the place they live, work and play.Over the last three months a group of East Hill residents, business owners and community members have been meeting to discuss the future of the area East Hill.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The public is invited to discuss the group’s focus on youth and family engagement, economic development, physical improvements and the creation of an international cultural district.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
