{"id":8940,"date":"2010-12-30T16:12:08","date_gmt":"2010-12-31T00:12:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/state-patrol-trooper-injured-in-highway-167-accident-in-kent\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T19:15:38","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T02:15:38","slug":"state-patrol-trooper-injured-in-highway-167-accident-in-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/state-patrol-trooper-injured-in-highway-167-accident-in-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"State Patrol trooper injured in Highway 167 accident in Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Washington State Patrol trooper sustained minor injuries after his car collided with another vehicle at about 10 p.m. Dec. 29 along Highway 167 near the Central Avenue exit in Kent.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old trooper was northbound in the Highway 167 high occupancy vehicle lane to respond to another wreck when the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo lost control on an icy roadway and the vehicles collided.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Aveo, a 49-year-old Renton man, suffered serious injuries, according to the State Patrol. Both men were treated at Valley Medical Center in Renton.
