{"id":8882,"date":"2012-09-19T16:08:28","date_gmt":"2012-09-19T23:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/king-county-to-hold-budget-public-hearing-in-kent\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T01:30:34","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T08:30:34","slug":"king-county-to-hold-budget-public-hearing-in-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/king-county-to-hold-budget-public-hearing-in-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"King County to hold budget public hearing in Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>The <a title=\"budget\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kingcounty.gov\/council\/budget.aspx\" target=\"_self\">King County Council Budget Committee<\/a> will hold public hearings on the 2013 budget in Kent, Bellevue and Seattle.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The hearing in Kent is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 in Courtroom 3F of the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 Fourth Ave. N.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cThis is an opportunity for individuals to tell the County Council what government services are most important to them,\u201d said Councilmember Joe McDermott, chair of the Budget and Fiscal Management Committee. \u201cThese public hearings are a critical part of our budget deliberations, so I hope that residents will come and share their priorities with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Other members of the Budget Leadership Team are councilmembers Kathy Lambert, Jane Hague and Julia Patterson.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The public hearing schedule:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Wednesday, Oct. 3- Maleng Regional Justice Center, Courtroom 3F, 401 4th Avenue North, Kent<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Wednesday, Oct. 10 \u2013 Bellevue City Hall, City Council Chambers , 450 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Wednesday, Oct. 17 \u2013 King County Courthouse, County Council Chambers, 10th floor, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. Day-after coverage of the public hearings will be available both online and on King County TV, seen on Comcast and Broadstripe Cable Channel 22.
