{"id":8731,"date":"2014-06-18T16:04:16","date_gmt":"2014-06-18T23:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/washington-traffic-safety-commission-to-launch-drive-high-get-a-dui-campaign\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T03:05:28","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T10:05:28","slug":"washington-traffic-safety-commission-to-launch-drive-high-get-a-dui-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/washington-traffic-safety-commission-to-launch-drive-high-get-a-dui-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Washington Traffic Safety Commission to launch &#8216;Drive High, Get a DUI&#8217; campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>With marijuana retail stores slated to open in early July, the <a title=\"traffic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wtsc.wa.gov\/\" target=\"_self\">Washington Traffic Safety Commission<\/a> (WTSC) is launching a campaign to remind those planning on patronizing the new businesses that driving high is illegal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The campaign is called \u201cDrive High, Get a DUI.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The new messaging coincides with summertime DUI emphasis patrols kicking off July 1 and will feature three 30-second television commercials. The Colorado Department of Transportation produced and aired the commercials in Colorado earlier this year as part of their efforts to combat high driving.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The ads show individuals attempting activities while high.
