{"id":8674,"date":"2016-09-08T15:35:37","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T22:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/extended-hours-planned-for-overnight-work-on-southbound-i-5\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T22:50:38","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T05:50:38","slug":"extended-hours-planned-for-overnight-work-on-southbound-i-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/extended-hours-planned-for-overnight-work-on-southbound-i-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Extended hours planned for overnight work on southbound I-5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Drivers should be prepared for overnight lane reductions on southbound Interstate 5 this weekend, Sept. 9-11, from South 200th Street in SeaTac to State Route 516 in Des Moines.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>With a rainy fall forecast on the horizon, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will take advantage of this weekend&#8217;s expected dry weather.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Lane reductions will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights. By 10 p.m. each night, southbound I-5 will be reduced to one lane through 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The work is part of the southbound I-5 <a title=\"paving project\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wsdot.wa.gov\/projects\/i5\/sbs320thpvmtrehab\/\" target=\"_blank\">paving project<\/a> that began in March.
