APARTMENT FIRE:<\/strong> Kent Regional Fire Authority firefighters<\/a> responded to an apartment fire at 6 a.m. Monday, June 20, in the 700 block of Washington Avenue North.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n All residents in the apartment escaped without injury.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The fire was reported from a business across the street from the apartment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The cause of the fire was determined to be cooking oil on a stove that ignited and spread to the rest of the kitchen. Two apartments were damaged with the estimate at about $20,000.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Four residents were displaced. The Red Cross is working to secure temporary living arrangements for them.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
