June 20<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

APARTMENT FIRE:<\/strong> Kent Regional Fire Authority firefighters<\/a> responded to an apartment fire at 6 a.m. Monday, June 20, in the 700 block of Washington Avenue North.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

All residents in the apartment escaped without injury.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The fire was reported from a business across the street from the apartment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire was determined to be cooking oil on a stove that ignited and spread to the rest of the kitchen. Two apartments were damaged with the estimate at about $20,000.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Four residents were displaced. The Red Cross is working to secure temporary living arrangements for them.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

June 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

HOME FIRE:<\/strong> Firefighters from Kent Regional Fire Authority and Renton Fire Department responded to single family home fire at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in the 10800 block of 233rd Place on Kent’s East Hill.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

No one was in the home when the fire started.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Firefighters were able to limit the fire to the kitchen area, but the remainder of the home was damaged by smoke.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The cause of the blaze has not been determined and damage is estimated to be $150,000.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
