Kent-based Castle Bridge Winery is the locale for an April 8 chocolate- and wine-tasting event, to acquaint the public with a new kind of chocolate that is purportedly high in antioxidants and has other health benefits. The chocolate is called Xocai, and is made with a patented cold-press process enabling the candy to retain its antioxidants. It’s also combined with the acai berry, a fruit from the Amazon rain forest that also has antioxidant properties. The event is sponsored by the Seattle Xocai Team, which will offer a marketing presentation after the event. The cost is $6, paid at the door, and includes four wines served to compliment the chocolates. The tasting runs 5:30-7 p.m., and the presentation is 7-7:30 p.m. RSVP by April 7 to Ruth Riddle, at 206-595-1216, or by e-mail at riddler5000@comcast.net. Castle Bridge Winery is located at 7645 South 180th St.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
