For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Kent School District is providing Supplemental Educational Services (SES) to all eligible students.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n SES provides free academic help to child in low-income families attending Title 1 Schools identified as needing improvement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n If your child attends one of the following schools, he\/she may be eligible to receive this service: Cedar Valley Elementary School; Covington Elementary School; East Hill Elementary School; Emerald Park Elementary School; George T. Daniel Elementary School; Glenrdige Elementary School; Horizon Elementary School; Jenkins Creek Elementary School; Kent Elementary School; Meadow Ridge Elementary School; Meridian Elementary School; Millennium Elementary School; Neely-O’Brien Elementary School; Panther Lake Elementary School; Park Orchard Elementary School; Pine Tree Elementary School; Scenic Hill Elementary School; Soos Creek Elementary School; Springbrook Elementary School.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The services are provided to general student populations, as well as English Language Learner Students and students with disabilities. SES allows students to receive free tutoring or remedial help in subjects such as mathematics and reading\/language arts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Enrollment for SES services takes place Jan. 6-23. Parents may choose a program best suited for their child from a list of eligible SES providers. All SES providers have received approval from the Washington State Office of Public Instruction.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n If you are a parent of an eligible child and have not yet information about the upcoming SES enrollment, you may contact the Kent School District’s Title 1 Office (253-373-7000).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
