{"id":7353,"date":"2016-04-20T16:50:19","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T23:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/thank-you-firefighters\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T15:45:30","modified_gmt":"2016-10-21T22:45:30","slug":"thank-you-firefighters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/letters\/thank-you-firefighters\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank you, firefighters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p class=\"p1\">Sending a very big thank you to the Kent Fire Department for their assistance in recently getting our American flag back up on the pole in front of Harrison House in downtown Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">During one of our recent high windstorms, the rope was snapped on our flagpole and down came the flag. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">We were told there was no money in the budget to hire a company with equipment tall enough to restring a new rope. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Harrison House is an apartment building with many residents who are veterans or have lost a loved one in wartime.
