Boeing’s Kent facility was without power for about four hours Monday morning after a breaker tripped at a nearby Puget Sound Energy substation.

The power went out at about 6 a.m. Monday and was restored at about 10:10 a.m. to Boeing, said Dorothy Bracken, PSE spokeswoman. The large Boeing facility stretches from South 212th Street along West Valley Highway to South 196th Street.

About 2,000 PSE customers were without power. Most customers had power restored by 8:50 a.m., Bracken said.

Inspectors searched the substation to try to determine what caused the breaker to trip but could not find a cause, Bracken said.
